The Italian Aerospace Research Center (CIRA S.C.p.A.) is an apply research organization operating in aeronautics and space, based in Capua(NA). It is a public-private partnership, consisting of a non-profit capital company and government control.
The center is in Capua, where there are also prestigious experimental installations of European and international significance. Like all government aerospace research centers, operating in most industrialized country, the CIRA develops both theoretical research of international scope, both demonstrators for experimentation in the operationally relevant conditions of the proposed technologies.
These latter projects are carried out in synergy with national private companies, with the aim of improving competitiveness and exploring long-term technological development plans that cannot be approached exclusively with business profit.
