Development of an innovative fail-safe electromechanical drive system for landing gears (MLG and NLG)

The FASE-LAG project is part of the “Aicraft-0 SAT D1 for greener, safer and affordable More Electric (MEA) and Fly-by-Wire (FbW) Small Air Transport (SAT)” program of Piaggio Aerospace

The actuator consists of two independent motors and can operate in different configurations to reduce jamming risk.
Application to P180 (Piaggio Aerospace topic manager)
Italsystem was responsible for the controls design and SW development (with MBD approach).
TRL 5 final (test on IRON BIRD)
